Nice to virtually meet you! Here's what you need to know about me.

My name is Rob Maitland.

I was born and raised in Southern California, but over the past 25 years all of my family has relocated to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I recently moved to Raleigh with my wife, Alden, where we are blessed to share our home with five children, two dogs, and a never-ending parade of family and friends. We love to travel, play golf, help others, and host parties in our backyard.

Jimmy Buffet says not to be “a lawyer, a thief, or a banker,” well, I have to admit to two of those and plead the 5th on the other! After attending UCLA, I began my career as a banker in California and Florida. Although I was quickly climbing the “corporate ladder” my dream was always to be a lawyer and, to the bewilderment of my friends and colleagues, I left to attend law school at the University of North Carolina. I absolutely love practicing law, and I am privileged to be doing it for over twenty years in a firm that I own.

Now, as a Career Ownership Coach®, I get to pay-it-forward by helping you explore the possibility of becoming a business owner just like me. My goal is to help my clients achieve the Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity they desire.
